Take Steps to Get Vaccinated – Message from Mark Burgess

Michelle MachenMauser News, Leadership Messages

Dear Colleagues,

We are witnessing history around the world as frontline healthcare workers, elderly individuals and essential workers begin to receive COVID-19 vaccines.

Our Mauser Packaging Solutions leadership team has confidence in the safety and efficacy of FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines. I, along with them, pledge to get vaccinated as soon as we can receive a vaccine. I encourage everyone at Mauser Packaging Solutions to get vaccinated as supply increases. Vaccination will make the difference in helping us get to a future in which the pandemic is wholly in the past and allow us to live more normal lives.

Take steps now to:

  1. Educate yourself so that you are knowledgeable about where and when you can get vaccinated.

  2. Register with your local physician and health department/organization (as applicable) so that you are on vaccination waitlists when appointments become available.

  3. Monitor pharmacies in your area to determine which ones are receiving vaccine. Visit their website to find an appointment (as applicable).

How to Use the U.S. Federal Pharmacy Partners Database
The U.S. Federal Pharmacy Partners Database is a list of retail pharmacies which are receiving vaccine.

https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/retail-pharmacy-program/participating-pharmacies.html

  1. Research your state in the database.
  2. Visit your state’s listed pharmacy(s), to find out if they are providing COVID-19 vaccine in your community.
  3. Make an appointment with your local pharmacy as appointments become available.
  4. Get vaccinated!

As a world leader in industrial packaging, we are an essential link in the global supply chain for products used to fight the spread of the COVID-19 and to maintain essential services and infrastructure during this time. In the United States, this designation means Mauser Packaging Solutions employees are eligible to receive the vaccine under phase 1B of the CDC recommended roll out plan. Each individual U.S. state is determining whether it will follow the CDC recommendation or apply its own prioritization criteria for vaccine eligibility. In the states, that follow the CDC’s recommendation, our employees are currently eligible to receive the vaccine. As such, Mauser Packaging Solutions is providing an essential workforce vaccination verification letter for eligible* employees to present to vaccination authorities demonstrating that you are an essential worker. The U.S. letter is now available, and the Canadian letter will be available in the coming month. Click here to access the Essential Workforce Vaccination Letter available on MauserNOW.

Vaccination gives us hope that the pandemic will end, but in the meantime, please practice measures to keep the virus from spreading: wear a mask, physically distance from others, wash your hands, avoid gatherings and stay home when you’re sick. Use all of our tools to protect yourself, your colleagues and your community!

Thank you for your continued commitment and dedication and stay safe.
