Mauser Packaging Solutions Achieves RecyClass Recycling Process Certification for Recolene® Post Consumer Recyclate

Michelle MachenMauser News, International Packaging

Mauser Packaging Solutions has received the RecyClass Recycling Process Certification for our recycled material Recolene® produced in Europe. This certification applies to Mauser subsidiary, NCG Europe GmbH and affiliated reconditioning sites across Europe and is a major milestone in our circular economy journey.

Recolene® is made from 99.7% post-consumer high density polyethylene sourced from used industrial packaging and is used across our sites to manufacture packaging with PCR content, including our Infinity Series. This certification confirms that Recolene® meets strict traceability and quality standards in line with EN 15343:2007.

Mauser began the certification process in July 2024 and received certification in May 2025. Certification included audits of PRC production at the Erkelenz facility in October followed by audits of the locations that generate the input scrap used to produce PCR. This is the first time Mauser has received this certification, but the lack of change required to our established production processes for Recolene® following the audits indicates a commitment to quality that pre-dates certification.

This achievement underscores Mauser Packaging Solutions’ unwavering dedication to sustainability, innovation, and a circular economy in Industrial Packaging Solutions. Recolene® is used across our production sites in the manufacture of packaging containing Post-Consumer Resin (PCR), including our flagship Infinity Series™.

RecyClass Certification isn’t just a badge — it’s validation of our commitment to transparency, high quality standards, and a more circular, sustainable future for industrial packaging.
