Mauser Packaging Solutions is proud to announce the release of its third Sustainability Report, covering calendar years 2022 and 2023. This report marks a significant milestone as our first aligned with both the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) frameworks—enhancing the transparency, consistency, and impact of our ESG disclosures.
Despite a period marked by both challenges and opportunities, we made meaningful progress in advancing sustainable product innovation, environmental stewardship, and our core business strategy. This report reflects our holistic approach to sustainability—improving not only our products and solutions but also how we operate.

As a global leader in high-quality, sustainable rigid packaging products and solutions, Mauser remains committed to advancing our performance and setting the standard for environmental and operational excellence across the industry.
Key highlights from the report include:
- Advancing our Billion Dollar Plan to deliver greener solutions and increase circularity
- Establishing global environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Reducing Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 17% from our 2020 baseline
- Completing our first global EcoVadis assessment
- Conducting a baseline water stress analysis using the World Resources Institute (WRI) Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas
- Developing a centralized tool for site-level energy, water, and waste reporting
Looking ahead to 2025, we are focused on:
- Calculating Scope 3 emissions for the first time
- Preparing our first climate risk assessment report aligned with the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
- Responding to our second global EcoVadis assessment
- Collecting 2024 energy data and preparing for third-party assurance of Scope 1 and 2 emissions
- Conducting a detailed waste analysis to identify recycling opportunities and reduce landfill disposal
Our ongoing investments in sustainable technologies and infrastructure upgrades are improving operational efficiency, reducing energy costs, and helping create a more sustainable future for our customers and the planet. We are excited to see how these efforts continue to generate value for Mauser, our customers, and our communities.
“While we are incredibly proud of our progress so far, we know that sustainability is an ongoing journey, not a single end goal. We are excited to continue advancing our sustainability strategy, setting more ambitious targets, enhancing our green credentials, and building deeper collaborations with our customers, suppliers, and industry partners,” commented Mark Burgess, President and CEO.
