Mauser Packaging Solutions is pleased to announce it has been named the Container Reconditioner of the Year from the South African Industrial Container Reconditioners Association (SAICRA).

The award recognizes the outstanding achievement of both the Durban and Gauteng sites’ SANS 10406 audits in which both facilities scored 100%, in addition to achieving excellence above compliance. SANS 10406 certified companies demonstrate sound environmental management principles in the collection, transportation, and reconditioning of industrial containers.

“This award is a great acknowledgement of our team’s dedicated commitment to delivering excellence in all aspects of our business and providing responsible and sustainable solutions for our customers’ industrial packaging requirements,” said Managing Director, Steaphan MacDonald.

In addition to providing reconditioning services, Mauser Packaging Solutions’ facilities in South Africa also manufacture new Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC) and will begin production of plastic drums in 2022. Reconditioning offers an eco-friendly alternative to new packaging while helping divert packaging waste from landfills, extending its lifecycle, and reducing our mutual carbon footprint. IBCs and plastic drums are reconditioned to the highest quality standard, resulting in a solution that has a positive impact on businesses and the environment.

Mauser Packaging Solutions was also the first reconditioner in South Africa to achieve ISO 45001 certification and the ISO Integrated management System Certification.
