In early 2020, we began taking the next steps in our sustainability journey by partnering with an industry leading firm that helps companies navigate this landscape. Together, with our partner, we worked to understand what Mauser Packaging Solutions’ environmental, social and governance (ESG) strengths and weaknesses are, identified specific ESG topics that are most critical to our success, and gathered data and stories about the great work we are doing to share in a publicly available sustainability report. We are proud to present Mauser Packaging Solutions’ first global, corporate sustainability report!
About the Sustainability Report:
Our legacy companies have more than 300 combined years of experience and are pioneers in the industrial packaging industry. This has given us a strong base on which to build an integrated sustainability approach.
Our inaugural report details our performance and achievements at the start of that journey and outlines our vision for the future, while we continue to align and refine our sustainability activities as one company. The report focuses on our people, operations, products, and services that contribute to the company’s success and enable us to pave the way for an even brighter future.
The sustainability report is publicly available on the Mauser Packaging Solutions’ website and will be shared with external stakeholders, such as customers and investors. It is not only a reflection of our commitment to corporate social responsibility and transparency, it is also the next step in our efforts to further improve the economic, social and environmental aspects of our business. In the future, we will gather more data, calculate our environmental footprint, and set measurable targets.
Employee support has been critical to this project’s success. In June 2020, employees were invited to participate in a sustainability survey. The survey asked respondents to rank the importance of 21 different environmental, social and economic topics to Mauser Packaging Solutions’ success. At the close of the survey, a staggering 900 employee responses were received!
The topics deemed most important to the company’s success can be viewed on page 12 of the sustainability report. This also includes input from external stakeholders such as customers and suppliers. Participation in the survey was instrumental in identifying these issues and will help the business focus internal resources as we continue our sustainability journey. We are proud of the passion the team has for this topic. Thank you for your contributions!
