Mauser Packaging Solutions offers backup family care to U.S. and Canadian employees

With the closure of schools and summer camps, and the loss of some childcare and adult care options, we know it’s challenging to balance home and work. We listened to feedback from employees across the company, and they told us that helping them access affordable quality care was a top priority for families during this time.

Effective August 1, 2020, Mauser Packaging Solutions launched the Care@Work benefit, a family care service that is designed to assist our employees in finding caregivers for the whole family, including children and parents/grandparents. This company benefit provides each U.S. and Canadian employee up to 10 days of subsidized emergency backup child or adult care between now and July 31, 2021.

Below is additional information about the new benefit and how to take advantage of it:

Who is eligible for the Care@Work benefit?
  • All U.S. and Canadian employees of Mauser are eligible.                                                            
What services are offered through Care@Work?
  • Mauser Packaging Solutions provided membership to Care.com
  • Backup Care for Children
    Access to in-home or in-center, vetted and subsidized, care for your children when regular care is not available. Backup Care is ideal for school holidays, last-minute sitter cancellations, if your child is sick, and more.
    • Backup Care co-pays are as follows:
      • $2 USD/hour for in-home child care*
      • $10 USD/day/child for in-center child care

* The $2/hour in-home co-pay covers up to 4 children for a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 10 hours per day.

  • Backup Care for Adults
    Adult Back-Up Care is offered to assist with tasks such as rides to/from doctor appointments, recovery from surgery, meal prep, care for when regular adult care isn’t available, and more. Even if a family member lives across the country, we can help.
    • Backup Care co-pays are as follows:
      • $2 USD/hour for in-home adult care
  • Tuition Benefit (offered in the U.S. only)
    Save 10% on full-time, part-time, and drop-in tuition for children ages six weeks to 12 years at most KinderCare Learning Centers or Champions before and after-school sites in the U.S.
How do I sign up for the Care.com benefit?
  • US Employees: To activate the benefit, go to mauser.care.com and select “Enroll Now”.  US employees will enroll using the employee ID found on the Mauser pay stub.
  • Canadian Employees: To activate the benefit, go to mauser.care.com. Change the country to Canada in the top right corner. Canadian employees will need a unique promo code, provided by your HR department, to enroll for the Care.com premium membership.
