Around the globe, companies are meeting the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our employees continue to play a vital role in our ability to continue operating as an Essential Critical Infrastructure business. We appreciate each employee’s commitment, dedication, and desire to rise to the challenges of these times.  It is our company-wide “One Team” commitment that allows us to support the global supply chain and give back to the communities in which we operate.

Whether responding to external or internal needs created by these unprecedented circumstances, Mauser Packaging Solutions employees are demonstrating their dedication, ingenuity, and generosity.

Singapore

The Singapore facility has many employees who live in Malaysia and travel between the two countries each day for work. When travel restrictions threatened to impose weeks long quarantine on these employees, nine Malaysian employees agreed to remain in Singapore to continue working. Without these dedicated employees, the Singapore facility would have been forced to shut down at least one production line. The personal sacrifice of these employees enables Mauser Packaging Solutions to continue to be a part of the fight to provide essential products and services during this pandemic.

Italy

Employees in Italy are putting in extra hours to meet the increased valve demand used across the International Packaging group. The dedication demonstrated by Mauser Packaging Solutions employees in Italy enables our internal supply chain and operations to continue serving our customers.

Barcelona, Spain

NCG Iberia donated 200 chemical suits to the Intensive Care Units of two local hospitals: Clínica Diagonal de Barcelona and Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol of Badalona. The donation was coordinated through an employee’s wife who is a local ICU doctor. Chemical suits are routinely used in the PCR department while cutting scrap plastics.

Puerto Rico

Destileria Serrallés, one of the primary distilleries and chemical companies in Puerto Rico, is turning to Mauser Packaging Solutions to provide the packaging needed to aid in the fight against COVID-19. Currently, Destileria Serrallés is using packaging manufactured in our Puerto Rico facility to donate ethyl alcohol to Puerto Rican hospitals and the public health sector.

Mason, Ohio

Employees in Mason, Ohio responded with urgency when DOW Chemical needed drums to hold hand sanitizer for the U.S. National Guard. Given that DOW does not usually produce hand sanitizer, modifications to existing drums were required and components were delivered by the Harrisburg, North Carolina facility to meet the request. In less than a week, the Mason, Ohio facility made modifications to the drum design, produced 680 drums, and donated the first two truck load of drums bound for the U.S. National Guard via DOW.
