In 2019, Mauser do Brazil started a project called Mauser do Bem to engage employees in social causes. On November 9, 2019, employees participated in a non-governmental organization (NGO) habitat project with the local Habitat for Humanity chapter.

The day’s activities started with breakfast provided by Habitat. After breakfast, Mauser employees worked with a team of civil construction professional to renovate houses. Activities included wall repair and painting. At the end of the day, employees had participated in the renovation of three houses resulting in the improved quality of life for residents.

Generally, families benefiting from Habitat live in hazardous housing conditions, with mold, humidity, and poor ventilation. In most cases, the houses have damaged walls, roofs, flooring, and walls without cladding.

“This project showed that we can do a lot, with so little. Today, we arrived here as a company and we are leaving as better people,” commented Human Resources Manager, Ms. Valquiria Martin.
