KIMBERLY MILLER
Vice President, Environmental Health and Safety

Kimberly (Kim) Miller joined Mauser Packaging Solutions as an EHS Director in 2018 with the acquisition of Industrial Container Services (ICS). Before the ICS acquisition, Kim spent two years as an EHS Director with ICS. As part of the North American Large Packaging and Reconditioning business unit consolidation in 2019, Kim moved into her current role as EHS Vice President with oversight of EHS activities for the consolidated North American Large Packaging and Reconditioning business unit. Kim has led the Reconditioning EHS team to a 46% reduction in lost time/restricted safety incidents at reconditioning facilities.

  • Kim has more than 20 years of EHS experience. Past experience includes nine years as a Vice President of Environmental Affairs / Environmental Risk Leader for General Electric Capital covering multiple sectors of operation including finance, aviation and shipping and 13 years with Ramboll/Environ as a Senior Project Manager overseeing projects in sustainability, environmental and safety compliance, environmental permitting, litigation support and site remediation.
  • Kim holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management and Sustainability from ITT Stuart School of Business and a BS in Environmental Science and Political Science from Allegheny College.

ALLEN COPPOLO
DIRECTOR, ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
SMALL PACKAGING

Allen Coppolo joined BWAY in 2016 as the EHS Director and continues in that role for the Small Packaging business unit. Under Allen's leadership, Small Packaging implemented a new EHS Management System and has consistently achieved injury and illness rates better than the industry average. Allen has more than 35 years of EHS experience in heavy manufacturing.

Past experience includes eight years as a Health and Safety Director for EMC supporting Hubbell, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electrical equipment and six years as the Group EHS Director for Doncasters, a supplier of specialty alloys and castings for the aerospace Industry, supporting diverse and complex operations on a global scale.

  • Allen holds a Master of Science and a BS in Occupational Safety and Health Management from the University of New Haven.
  • Allen is a Certified Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, Certified Industrial Hygienist, and an Associate in Risk Management.
  • Allen has over 40 years as a volunteer EMT and firefighter having served as Chief of the Department for 8 years. He is a State Certified Fire Service Instructor and organized a regional HazMat response team following the events of 911.

FRANK BURGER
HEAD OF SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT, QUALITY  
INTERNATIONAL PACKAGING

In 1991, Frank Burger began his career as a production employee with Mauser Fiber in Brühl, Germany. From 1994-1998 he was part of the IBC packaging development team and production manager for the first Mauser IBC Repaltainer. Frank assumed the Head of Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection role in 1998 for Mauser Global. In 2011, Frank left Mauser to pursue other opportunities but would return to the Company in 2015 to assume leadership roles within the SHEQ organization.

  • Frank entered the workforce as an apprentice metal worker at Klöckner-Humbold-Deutz AG. Following his apprenticeship, he went on to receive further education as an Industrial Master specializing in metal and studied as a Technical Graduate in Business Administration.
  • Frank is a Public Offices Member of the Environment Committee of the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Member of the Plastic Packaging Working Group at the Plastic Packaging Industry Association Industrieverband Kunststoffverpackungen IK and member at the VdF. The Association of German Drum and Industrial Packaging Reconditioning is the industry association for the reconditioning industry.
  • Frank is a trained occupational safety officer, quality management commissioner, waste management officer, fire protection officer, and emissions control officer.
