Cedar City Breaks Ground on Facility Expansion

Michelle MachenOur Stories, Small Packaging

On September 4, the Cedar City, Utah Small Packaging (Plastics) facility broke ground on a warehouse addition that will almost double the plant’s footprint. Completion of the expansion is expected in early 2020 and will provide opportunity to develop new business in the West Coast region.

The continued growth of injection and blow molding within the business has decreased the facility’s usable storage space to less than 10,000 square feet, which is the smallest warehouse space of any Small Packaging facility. The 2020 expansion will not only eliminate the cost of offsite warehouse leases but also the transportation, logistical and quality challenges that arise when moving product to offsite storage locations.
