Garland, Texas Facility Reaches 15 Years Without Lost Time Due to an Incident

Michelle MachenOur Stories, Safety, Small Packaging

On May 19, the Garland, Texas Small Packaging facility reached 15 years without lost time due to a safety incident. On June 25, employees celebrated with a steak lunch and commemorative shirts.

Carlos Trevino, Maintainer at Garland, credits the accomplishment to the people and their behavior at the facility. “Most of the team are veterans. They have seen accidents in the past and saw the repercussions on the employees and their families. The team looks out for each other and are not shy to say something if they see a problem. They hold each other accountable.” With over 25 years at Garland, Carlos has experienced the behavior change that made this celebration possible.

The team at Garland is setting an example of what can be accomplished when every employee commits to safety in the workplace and practices safe behaviors every day. Congratulations to this team for their accomplishment!
