The Earnings Improvement Program (EIP) is how we drive performance at Mauser; strengthening results, improving safety, increasing efficiency, and advancing our sustainability goals. It empowers every employee to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and make a measurable impact.
Every employee has a role to play—from ideas to action. Teams that embrace EIP deliver stronger results, and greater participation across our network will drive even more impact. Delivering this requires collaboration within teams and across business segments, bringing together diverse perspectives to maximize the value of EIP.
“The success of EIP comes down to employee participation. When our teams engage fully—bringing ideas forward and turning them into action—we consistently deliver stronger results and unlock the full potential of our organization,” said Mark Burgess, President and CEO.
To strengthen understanding and adoption of EIP across the organization, virtual 90-minute informational training sessions are being rolled out for all employees with a Mauser email address across corporate and plant locations in the U.S. and Canada. Sessions are already underway and all employees are expected to attend one session. These sessions will focus on:
- the purpose of EIP
- what EIP means for our organization
- how EIP strengthens our culture of continuous improvement
- how to drive idea generation and high impact actions
If you have not received an invitation, please contact Matt Ralph, Training Manager. Plans for international sessions, including Mexico, are in development and will be communicated later.
In today’s economic environment, many factors remain outside of our control—material costs, labor rates, broader market conditions, and energy prices. However, there are also critical areas within our control, including scrap, quality, cycle times, downtime, inventory accuracy, engagement, and safety. EIP helps us focus on these areas, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure Mauser remains competitive and successful.
“During these challenging geopolitical and economic times, maintaining momentum in the EIP program is more important than ever. It requires consistent engagement—and these sessions are where alignment, innovation, and progress come together,” said Mark Burgess, President and CEO.
Our 2026 EIP goal is ambitious: to exceed last year’s performance and deliver our strongest financial impact yet. Achieving this will require broad participation—your ideas, your problem-solving mindset, and your engagement will make the difference.
