Veterans Day 2023: Recognizing all who Served

Michelle MachenMauser News

During the month of November, special thanks and appreciation are paid to military veterans for their service. Veterans Day, originally known as Armistice Day, is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with other holidays including Armistice Day and Remembrance Day which are commemorated in other countries around the globe that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I.

For many veterans, their military service is only the first of potentially many career fields. These men and women are accustomed to engaging their talents in a mission larger than themselves. They understand how to work in teams toward common goals and are calm under pressure. And they are dedicated to getting the job done. With backgrounds that often include significant experience in advanced technology, former service often possesses the hardest-to-find employability skills requested by manufacturers and are well positioned to succeed in a manufacturing career with the skills, talents and training that are highly valued in the industry.

As of 2021, manufacturing ranked as the second highest industry for employing veteran behind the government1. At Mauser, we value the experience and leadership that veterans bring to our workforce. We recruit military veterans globally and partner with organizations such as RecruitMilitary, Hiring our Heroes, US Department of Veterans Affairs, MilitaryHire.com, and Military.com. The experience and skills gained through military service align with Mauser’s company values empowering veterans with the potential for a successful career with the company.

In honor of Veterans Day, we want to say a special thank you to the veterans who work alongside us at Mauser Packaging Solutions. Thank you for your military service and for the contributions you make each day.
