Facilities receiving the NASP Safety President’s Award will host a luncheon for employees and  receive a trophy presented by a member of the leadership team and EHS.

 2025 Safety President’s Award Recipients:

  • Springhill, NS, Canada (Plastics)
  • Memphis, Tenn. (Metals)

The EHS Balanced Scorecard is calculated based on leading and lagging indicators, with greater weight given to leading indicators. Facilities earn leading indicator scorecard points throughout the year for activities such as toolbox talks, EHS audits, work observations, CAPAs, non-recordables reported and investigated, PPE assessments, qualified JSA’s, risk assessments, and other criteria.

“By weighting the scorecard for leading indicators, we put greater emphasis on the practices and behaviors that prevent incidents and create a safer work environment. The President’s Award recognizes our facilities that are performing best in these leading indicators and set the example for implementing an effective safety culture,” commented Allen Coppolo, Allen Coppolo, Director of Environmental Health and Safety – NASP.
