On January 10, the Cologne Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Köln) in Germany honored the Mauser facility in Brühl for outstanding achievements in vocational training. Gero Fürstenberg, head of the Rhein-Erft-Kreis branch office of the IHK Köln, and his colleague Stefanie Schuhl, visited the Mauser headquarters in Brühl and presented the award to Janus Sander, team leader IBC and trainer for electronics technicians, and two electronics technician trainees, Emilio Bilyk and Maurice Heyartz, who were present at the ceremony. This award recognizes Mauser as one of the training companies in the region based on having apprentices that regularly pass final exams with a “very good” score.
Mauser was also recognized in November by the Cologne Chamber of Commerce and Industry for our commitment to supporting apprenticeship training abroad. Mauser regularly arranges for apprentices in Germany to spend 3-5 weeks in other European facilities (Grezzago, Italy; Oosterhout, Netherlands; Littleborough, England) during their apprenticeship program. During this time, apprentices work in various departments, such as sales, purchasing, and logistics, or take on specific projects. This experience helps apprentices improve their English language skills and develop social and intercultural competencies.
Micheal Steubing, President of Mauser International Packaging Solutions, commented, “A big thank you to all the trainers and employees for their outstanding work and support. Special thanks also to Ulrike Busch, who is responsible for the overall coordination of the training programs and is actively committed to our trainees and the (further) development of the training. Such successes are a wonderful incentive to continue delivering excellent (training) work.”
